The previous Tohsaka Rin figure was apparently a garage kit, need to paint and all that >.> Thing thing is a completed & colored PVC figure by Kotobukiya, 1/8 Scale standing 19cm. HLJ ¥3400(RM112.00), Toy Wave US$33.00(RM124.80). Since Toy Wave is based in HK, the shipping cost will be relatively cheaper. This is most likely to be my next target after I get the first payment for my special part-time job, which is actually still quite a while, the end of January. And if possible, I’ll get my second MG along with this purchase, either gundam v2 or freedom.

Wah, 2005 went by in an instant! Oh, reminds me of all the precious time I’ve wasted. Log Books Rants

Friday, December 30th, 2005

I’ve been wondering, why the fuck this trend of writing useless notes in log books which we won’t read anyway is popular here in Malaysia. It’s probably common knowledge that Malaysia has the most hours of homeworks compared to countries in Asia. Even Singapore has less homework but apparently has higher educational standards. It should be fucking clear as hell that they should tone down the piling homeworks, quantity is not equal to quality, sick fucktards! The purpose of this log books are stupid too, not only they fuck your wallet more, they also weigh some fucking tons for useless pieces of shit, upon purchasing log books you hav officially kissed their hairy asses. I think teachers should shove all of their students’ log books up their assholes and think of a better and more efficient way of giving out homeworks.

Some teachers insist that writing notes is an effective way to memorize facts, indeed it is, but would you please give me a fucking break and let me write my note in my own fucked up way? What’s the fucking point of writing well-arranged notes for the teachers to check. And some teachers ( I have some in mind ) wants their note books strictly in the format/way they want it to be. That’s just a pain in the ass for me. Some teachers also simply don’t have any sense of taste, or their taste is just plain dirt bag, the over-done logbooks which have horse shits, bitches’ craps all over the pages tend to have better ratings than the simple and clean ones, sorry but that particular teacher is simply a fag. Anyway my suggestion is, apply the ’survival of the fittest’ rule. Let students’ make notes of their own, in their own language/writings that themselves can understand in normal books. Those who don’t do will fuck themselves up later, so don’t scold them for not doing their notes.

Album of December

Album cover

Catching Tales
from Jamie Cullum. I’m a big fan of Jamie ever since his first album, Twenty Something. As you can expect from Jamie, he spices up jazz with a bit of pop, this is what you get when you mix the old and the young. Because jazz could be boring at times, and that’s where Jamie comes in. If you liked the first album, then I don’t see any reason why you wouldn’t like the second, ‘Get Your Way’ is a must hear and is conveniently the first track. With his youth spirit, he is apparently veri energetic, if you have watched his concerts you’d understand, running around like crazy, jumping here, there and on top of the piano lol. Regardless how ridiculous he might be, his tunes still pwns, sometimes I wish I could play piano just to sing his songs :D

52nd post, some people have commented me to have nothing better to do. As far as I’m concerned, it’s certainly better than what you do, crap criticize me. Little that you know I’m keeping the edge on my english, yeah eventhough it aint proper english. "I believe you were born to be a writer", lol my teacher aint shitting! My problem is I’m just too lazy to write, it’s not often that I manage to properly finish my homework or notes without skipping some parts. Typing however, requires less effort and dun hav to worry about how the writing looks, I enjoy typing eventhough I don’t type that fast. Makes perfect sense why I blogg, and believe it or not, for just about everything I experienced, I always try to make out english sentences to describe it, it is done in my head ofcourse. Blogging down your rants is also a good way to hose down your anger heh, here’s wat I’m practicing, to use every possible curse word in every possible place, now that’s a challenge :D

Really Simple Shit

Tuesday, December 27th, 2005

Ahh, RSS, the Really Simple Syndication, wtf is this lol. It lets you see the headlines from typically sites that change or add content regularly, blogs for example. Quite often I have encountered them RSS icons pretty much everywhere but dunno hell how to use ‘em. Todae just found out how to use it in firefox LOL! Should bang my head a few times for knowing that earlier.

Anyway this is how you can utilize RSS in firefox; First find your favourite blog/site, the browser will indicate an RSS icon in ur browser address space. Click that ‘Add Live Bookmark‘ and as you can see in the second picture, I can check out the latest headlines from Danny Choo’s site. lol and that ‘latest headline’ link firefox had put on already showing RSS usage hahaha…

Back In Business

Sunday, December 25th, 2005

Doctor is back in Counter-Strike Sauce and is kicking ass :D The new comp is living up to my expectations. I left the settings to default, the recommended settings, it is quite smooth now, I think I’m reaching 60+ frame/sec all that with the comfort of relatively low ping 40-60 in major Singapore and Malaysian servers. And I don’t think I will raise the settings, it looks good already I dun want to sacrifice the FPS I’m currently getting. And in the pic below, atleast I get the kill to death ratio by 2:1, not bad after a long winter hibirnation :D

De_dust20000

Kicking arse in dust with P90.

And it’s pretty much the same story for Half-Life 2. The loading time has also dramatically reduced. Though I’m still experiencing some minor spiky lags or hiccups from time to time. Must be the memory, one stick 512MB, and not utilizing the dual channel capability.

Modelling the MG

Saturday, December 24th, 2005

My first attemp on painting turns out not the best of first attemps. If you wish you to change the base color, priming is needed, so it says. I had an interior green, definitely not the same color as the Zaku, but it actually turns out great when I tried painting the runners, not so great however, when I tried it on the actual plastic model. Well that settles it, I need primer; Gunze Sangyo’s Mr. Surfacer 1000. Here are few topics I want to stress out on my first MG.

Color Scheme - With the current Paint I have, I’m thinking of white base for armor, the Interior Green for the Core and black for the engine. I’m going to color the line arts and see how it turns out.

Shading/Shadowing - At first I didn’t plan on doing this, but plain colors just look dull. With shading, plastic models look MUCH more realistic. I’m just going to do pre-shading with the guns. First I lay down the darker black color then I brush in white, mostly on parts with less exposure to wear & tear, in this case around the centre.

Shiny Silver - The way I see it ppl tend to focus & show off the pistons, and for a good reason, apply some realistic shiny metallic color and you have realistic freakin ass pistons which enhance the engine parts, reminding yourself that it’s not a toy, but a realistic model! I also notice some bolts on the armor plating, they will look awesome if I give them shiny metallic color.

Dry Brushing - To show worn out edges of the armor platings. According to Katotts, Tamiya Enamel is usually used, white or grey probably. In proper drybrushing, results slowly appear after about 20 strokes
of the brush (some might say hundreds). If a single stroke causes paint
to show, the procedure is being overdone.

And to pick up some extra sets of paints & tools, this time I
hope can get them in much cheaper price in Singapore or Online order.

Eureka

Eureka from the series Eureka Seven. I just watched the first episode and I have to admit that it sucks hard. Despite that however, the character design for Eureka is amazingly appealing, that some people probably endure the pain of watching Eureka Seven just to see Eureka. Anyway, this PVC figure is from Megahouse, stands about 15cm and would look cool anywhere you place it. Price tag from HLJ is 3800 / RM122.45m, XL-Shop price is RM148.00. I took a closer look on this figure when I visited XL-Shop in Midvalley, it looks pretty darn good, I want it! But this just going to be on my list which to tell the truth , the ‘Figure & Model Kits’ category is only my wishlist… HLJ link
