Some Thoughts

Monday, January 30th, 2006

Everybody is busy talking about transferring to boarding schools, practically all of my last year’s classmates are going out. Well, good riddance then, please do go, your presence disturbs the flow of the force throughout the school. With them leaving there should be about 4:1 ratio of girls to boys, when will they ever dump them.

If I am to speak out my opinion on this, why do you want to go to boarding schools anyway? You won’t have the kind of freedom we’d be having here, not to mention the lack of entertainment you’d have. It is already a fact that you could achieve great results in pretty much any school you go, you should know that the biggest factor is our own self. Also, the stress and pressure in boarding school would probably affect some students’ grades. They say that highschool times are precious (no matter how crappy it is), why would you throw yours away by going to some boarding school, keep in mind you only experience youth once.

Anyway, I decided to take my hobby seriously and get myself an airbrush set, I hope I’ll be able to find some good jobs during the end year holidays because my monthly part time pay is reserved for figures and plastic models. I should get it before my SPM, or else it would be difficult to get. I think I did this hobby at relatively early age, which is good, considering the buttload of free time I still have, and my prediction is I should be a veteran by the time I reach the age of 18. BTW, my other blog is now dedicated to gunpla http://320cbr.blogspot.com/

Military Miniature

Now that I’ve done some gunpla, I am now more familiar with plastic models. Mechas are cool, but sometimes you would want something different on your shelf, there are plenty of good ones in the industry. One of the most popular ones are military vehicles, mostly during the World War II, just the thing for me. I want to give a shot on Tamiya’s new line of 1/48 scale plastic models. Actually I wanted to get the bigger 1/35 scale, but the 1/48 are just recently released, therefore I expect better details and improvements over the past models. These are much cheaper than gundam model kits ( around ¥1600) due to smaller scale and lesser parts, so I’m going to get it along with some Tamiya Craft Tools. It will be my first order from HLJ.

Having a newfound enthusiasm for figures and some leftover obsession of Star Wars, I begin to lay some interests on getting myself some stormtrooper figures. You can’t help but admit the coolness of the Star Wars universe, even Japanese are crazy about it, some of the best Star Wars figures are made by japanese manufacturer. Kotobukiya are quite well known for their Star Wars figures, but they seem to be only making PVC figures. If it’s Star Wars I’d want it to be pose-able. :D

This is a 1/6 Scale Storm Trooper action figure by Medicom Toys. Being a 12" action figure, you can expect incredible pose-ability (I think). I don’t plan to buy this however, because it will punch a hole in your wallet as big as RM600. So I guess I’ll just drool this over and hope I can get a stormtrooper figure one day.

I hate my english teacher, I guess it was hate at first sight. She is really getting on my nerves with the way she acts and talks. OK, I gotta admit that she do has excellent command of english but that doesnt escape her from the fact that she is such a pain in the arse, I don’t like smartasses. I can see it from her eyes that she looked down on us, underestimating, as if we didn’t understand a crap she said. Bitch, I hope you are aware of the saying don’t judge books by their covers. I really hope I can make some arse-kicking essays to shut her crap hole, but I sense that it would not be an easy task, aren’t chinese well known for their english? Well, we’ll just see how good Kuay is.

Side not about her though, after I examined her a few times, she’s not THAT cute afterall. Many fell for her probably only because she is chinese, tt mean more exposed, sexier. I do however, like her new hair, every now and then she gently touches(cant find correct word <.<) her hair, it excites me. Personally, I find women’s hair quite appealing, one of the factors that makes a woman beautiful.

Anyway these few holidays I’m going to be homealone again. My dad going to London actually, doing his surgical glove business, wtflol. The Visa was expensive too, curse those commonwealth countries who don’t need visa to enter UK.

From The Japanese Embassy

Saturday, January 7th, 2006

OK, I can stop hoping for transfer to japanese highschool this winter. Because I won’t be able to adapt to their educational system since I know nothing of them and also the slight language barrier. That means I am going to sit for SPM next year in Maher. Then I could go pre-university, or is it 3rd year of senior high school? Either way, I have to submit my application through the Japanese Embassy in Jakarta, then to somehow take me to Japan. I also have to attend one year of Advanced Japanese lessons there (university level) which would make me a native in japanese language.

I am not dissapointed at all, as a matter of fact, it is probably best for me not to go yet, I realized I’m not yet ready for this. Another two years here might not be that bad after all. It provides me some time and space to further master my interests of gundam modelling. BTW, they didn’t state the requirements for the scholarship, though I’m sure I need excellent marks to get the scholarship, I will take Japanese for SPM ofcourse (and ace it). I must get straight A’s for SPM, so keeping it in mind form 4 is quite fundamental to my success, is prerequisite for me to further studies in Japan/

Simple Facts

Monday, January 2nd, 2006

First day of school, turns out got orientation week for form 4. No study whatsoever for a week, only speeches and stuff, which at times, I regret coming to school lol. Anyway I’m going to take the sains tulen (spelling?) Where got the biology. As much as I’m a geek, I won’t choose IT. It’s just pointless, I mean, I like computer stuff (and I consider myself being quite capable of it) but having it as my main profession is just, dumb. You can learn (if not all) most of those stuff yourself, better don’t waste time and take biology, because it is essential, you can take anything with bio. To top it all off, one of my cousin took up IT and end up unemployed and selling chickens, though I’ve no idea how he’s doing right now.

I got home and without wasting time, go on with my usual chores; dishwashing, laundry then hang the clothes, eat lunch in between. I wonder why but I felt energetic that time, I find it quite different than my usual doing-nothing self. I just realized that when you are not doing anything you will feel tired, and lose the sense of time. Yes, losing sense of time means you are completely unconscious of the time passing by, and fast too, as if they were machine gun bullets flying by, except you won’t get shot. If you work however, you’ll regain that sense of time, and then you realize that the work you’ve been dying not to do takes dramatically less time and effort than fooling around doing nothing, it certainly won’t hurt sacrificing just a pinchful of your time to do them beneficial errands. I guess I was so energetic because I was doing it for cash. It’s all about the money ;-)

When you are in the middle of a game (and worse if you are playing online games; because you definitely can’t stop) it is simply difficult to stop, even if you do manage to get your ass up, the work you’ll be doing wouldn’t be ‘perfect’, as your mind is set to come back to your game and your mouth is busy cursing here and there, that particular time you will feel that even the simplest chores are unbearable. My only advice is of course, to work/study now, play later. And you will be able to play with ease and without headaches and frustrations.

その未来は今, is a song by The Pillows, eventhough I don’t get most of the things they sing, I do however, understand the title, "that future is now". Exactly what I’d like to point out, basically what you are now reflects what you will be in the future. Don’t look back and regret the things you have done, leave them be and look forward. With that in mind, I shall concentrate on what I should do now, study. Ofcourse, a little relaxations and entertainments are essential too. I feel so determined right now, I will work hard to anyhow get my ass to the centre of universe, Japan.
